About Us

When Discovery Centre opened its doors to the public in 1990, it brought a new philosophy in science communication to Nova Scotia. Its mandate was not merely to present science facts to people but the Centre set for itself the goal of allowing visitors of all ages to experience science by doing and experimenting. The in-house public and educational programs and exhibits, as well as the outreach, province-wide programs are designed to be interactive, fun and hands-on.

DISCOVERY CENTRE CELEBRATES 25 YEARS! This year, Discovery Centre celebrates 25 years of allowing visitors of all ages to experience science by doing and experimenting.
