This summer Discovery Centre will be onsite at a number of amazing Community Events, including:
Bedford Days: Monday, June 25th, External Learning Specialist Erika Hilchey will be on hand to perform our brand-new Super Science show for the fabulous Bedford audience! She'll wow you with her science tricks from 7:45 pm - 8:15 pm on the Bedford Days stage!
HRM Canada Day Family Picnic: Thursday, July 1st, join us on the Halifax Commons for a science extravaganza sponsored by RIM! Get in on all the action, from the amazing Bouncing Bubbles to the wild and wacky Slime Pool and the loopy, zippy Build a Coaster! Take home some Canada Day-themed slime and watch out as we perform the death-defying Bed of Nails demonstration and the jaw-dropping Super Science show! We look forward to seeing everyone there from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm for the patriotic party!
RBC Multicultural Festival: Saturday, July 3rd and Sunday, July 4th, we'll be welcoming all into our state-of-the-art digital planetarium for two days of amazing shows! The Multicultural Festival will take place on the Halifax waterfront in the shadow of Pier 21 and we'll be there sampling the diverse cuisine and entertaining one and all in the Children's Pavilion. Experience the wonder of the galaxy from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm each day, with shows every 45 minutes...but act fast! The planetarium capacity is 25 per show with sign-up available on-site only.
Crapaud Exhibition: Saturday, July 31st, we'll be travelling again to Prince Edward Island for the Crapaud Exhibition, where we'll be entertaining the kids with Bouncing Bubbles and Slime and taking in that beautiful PEI sunshine! Come on over to the Crapaud Ex from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm and join in the fun!
